Our entire club is run off volunteer power. All HOC events are only made possible by volunteers with both big and small roles. Anyone can contribute, without previous experience. Review the list of roles below and see how you can help.

Registration – Help everyone signup for the event and check everyone in.
Start – Maintain the time and flow of participants at the start, ensure everyone takes the correct map.
Finish – Help control the finish and congratulate those who completed their courses.
Newcomer Instruction – provide basic instruction to newcomers on how to use a map, interpret the symbols, and how to complete a course.
Control Pick-up – Help pickup controls after the event has completed
Vetter – Help pre-run (or walk) the courses or help set out bags prior to the event and give feedback to the course designer.
