Type – Traditional Courses
Courses Available – White, Yellow, Orange, Green, and Red (What the colors mean) Punching – Manual Punch for White, Yellow, and Orange. E-Punch for Green and Red (Bring your own or SI E-Punch sticks will be available for rental $3/day) Map – 1:10,000, 2.5m contour interval
Course Time Limit – 3 hours Terrain – Rolling wooded terrain crossed by small streams. The woods are mostly old growth with moderate amounts of undergrowth. There is a sparse trail network. Location – 208 Trailhead, Stubblefield, Sam Houston National Forest Bus Parking – Drop off participants at the 208 trailhead then park here as the 208 Trailhead lot isn’t large enough to support buses. NOTE: the bridge along Stubblefield Lake Rd is not crossable. Ensure you take FM1375 to get to the event. Other – Participants can attend both days or either Saturday or Sunday. Awards will be based off each day’s results. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers of each gender for each course. Race day registrations are limited to maps on hand. Maps are printed based on online registration numbers.
